Overview

'Jolt' is an aquacultured lineage traded as Acropora tenuis, named for yellow-to-orange tips that flash like a jolt over a blue-green body. It carries fewer colors than Walt Disney or Homewrecker, but it is hardy and grows fairly fast, making it a popular entry into multicolor tenuis. Keep it under strong light and strong flow with stable KH, Ca and Mg; weak light erases the warm tips. Price varies with aquacultured generation and encrustation. As a trade name, we treat it here as a lineage.

How to identify

Pikachu Tenuis is solid yellow, whereas Jolt keeps a blue-green body with only the tips turning yellow to orange. Blue Tenuis is solid blue with no warm tips.
