Overview
Pectinia is an Indo-Pacific LPS coral recognized by its thin, sharp-edged skeleton. Polyps extend at night or when feeding, while the fluorescent skeleton drives its daytime display value. The fragile skeleton should be handled carefully and kept away from strong flow or abrasion. With thin tissue it is vulnerable to contact and sweeper tentacles from neighbors, so give it space.
