Overview

Diploastrea is a massive coral of regular conical corallites; it is hardy and disease-resistant, but grows only a few millimeters a year and is very long-lived. It keeps under moderate light and flow, and fluorescent green colonies are traded. Its slow growth avoids turf wars, making it safe for beginner-to-intermediate keepers. Long-term stable water quality is the key.
