Overview

Cynarina is a solitary LPS with one large inflated polyp; it swells with water by day and extends feeding tentacles at night. It prefers low-to-moderate light and gentle flow and is best placed on the sand. With thin tissue over exposed skeletal ridges it is sensitive to physical stress, so keep it clear of sweepers and abrasion. It responds well to small feedings a few times a week, improving color and girth.

Care Points

  • Extends feeding tentacles at night; responds to small meaty foods.
  • Avoid abrasion and strong flow that could damage the inflated tissue.
