Overview
'Toxic Green Hammer' is a color-form label applied collectively to hammer corals whose tentacles fluoresce an intense green; it does not denote a single propagated lineage. It glows strongly under blue lighting and is the most standard high-color hammer type. Care follows Euphyllia in general: moderate light and gentle flow, with spacing from neighbors since hammers also extend sweeper tentacles. It is susceptible to brown jelly disease, especially right after import or from skeletal wounds, so keep conditions stable. We treat it here as a color-form lineage.
How to identify
The difference from an ordinary green hammer is intensity: pieces with strong, uniform fluorescence earn the 'toxic' label. It is separated from Gold and Orange Hammers by hue, and specimens with differently colored tips are sometimes grouped under Rainbow Hammer instead.
