'Indo Hammer' is an origin-based label applied collectively to hammer corals shipped from Indonesia; it does not denote a single propagated lineage. Most pieces have branching skeletons that split easily by head, which makes them the mainstay of frag trading. The label covers many colors, mostly greens, and is defined by origin rather than color. Care follows Euphyllia in general: moderate light, gentle flow, and spacing for its sweeper tentacles. Freshly imported pieces are prone to brown jelly disease, so avoid damaged specimens and keep water quality stable after introduction. We treat it here as an origin lineage.
How to identify
It is distinguished from Aussie Hammer by origin label: Indonesian pieces tend to have branching skeletons with slender tentacles, while Australian ones more often have wall-type skeletons with thicker, shorter tentacles. Origin cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.
