Overview

'Bali Bounce' is not a single lineage but an origin label for Rhodactis with bubble-like bumps that arrive on Indonesian shipments. Unlike OG Bounce and other farmed lineages spread by division, each piece differs in color and bump development, and small or uneven bumps are common. It is affordable and easy to find, and is traded as an entry point to bounce types. Keep it like other bounces under low-to-moderate light and gentle flow; the bumps enlarge when conditions suit. We register it here as an origin-label lineage.

How to identify

OG and Sunkist are lineages with stable color and bump shape, whereas Bali Bounce varies from piece to piece and tends toward smaller, fewer bumps. Since it is an origin label, do not expect OG-level looks from the name alone.

Grade tiers

Grade names used in the trade for this genus. Criteria vary by seller.

Standard
Small bubbles and a single color; young specimens that have not yet formed bubbles also fall here.
Select
Clearly formed bubbles with two colors split between the base and the bubbles.
Ultra
Large bubbles in multiple colors; the more uniform the bubble count and size, the higher the rating.

Bounce mushrooms are rated by bubble size and color count. For named lines such as OG and Sunkist, see the lineage pages.

Typical price range
