Overview
'Toxic Frogspawn' is a color-form label applied collectively to frogspawn whose tentacles fluoresce a very intense green; it does not denote a single propagated lineage. It glows strongly under blue lighting and is the most standard high-color frogspawn type. Hardy and readily available, it is also a common first Euphyllia. Care follows Euphyllia in general: moderate light, gentle flow, and spacing for its sweeper tentacles. It is prone to brown jelly disease, so avoid wounds and sudden water-quality changes. We treat it here as a color-form lineage.
How to identify
The difference from ordinary green frogspawn is intensity: pieces with strong, uniform fluorescence earn the 'toxic' label. It is separated from Toxic Green Hammer by parent species: frogspawn tips branch into small rounded knobs, while hammer tips are T-shaped or hammer-shaped.
Typical price range
As a rough guide, roughly 3,000 to 10,000 yen per head. Prices vary with color intensity, head count and seller.
