Overview

'Rainbow Incinerator' is the trade name for the morph within the 'Incinerator' zoa group, known for its blazing red-to-orange face, whose skirt shows several colors such as green, blue and orange. Its polyps are large for a zoa, and some sellers treat it as a Palythoa. Husbandry follows Zoanthus generally: moderate light and flow, with fair tolerance of stronger light, though skirt color shifts with intensity. Frag with palytoxin caution, using gloves and eye protection. We register it here as a lineage and do not assert origin.

How to identify

The plain Incinerator has an orange-to-red single-tone skirt, whereas Rainbow mixes green and blue into the skirt. From other red-faced zoas such as Rasta or Scrambled Eggs, it is told by its larger polyp and the intense blazing face.

Typical price range

Roughly 3,000-10,000 yen per polyp as a guide. Prices vary widely with skirt color count, polyp count and seller.

Varies widely by season, specimen and seller. Treat as a rough guide.
