Overview
'Dragon Soul Favia' is a lineage of Favia (massive brain-type LPS) with green mouths arranged neatly in red-to-orange tissue. Divided pieces circulate with the name; growth is slow but the coral is hardy and suits long-term keeping. Keep it under low-to-moderate light and moderate flow; red fades under strong light, and a slightly shaded spot sharpens the contrast with the green mouths. It extends sweeper tentacles at night, so leave space from neighbors. We register it here as a lineage and do not assert origin.
How to identify
It is a different animal from the torch coral (Euphyllia) also sold as 'Dragon Soul'; the two share only the name and have no lineage relationship. Its looks overlap with other red-field, green-mouth Favia and Favites, so the named source of the frag is the basis for identification.
