Notes on using this tool
- This tool shows general tendencies at the order/family/genus level and does not decide whether an individual species is on Appendix I or II.
- Stony corals (Scleractinia) are listed in their entirety on Appendix II. Appendices are revised and enforcement updated, so always verify by scientific name via the official checklist.
- CITES (whether international trade is allowed) and customs/import procedures are separate. Customs applies to imports whether or not a species is CITES-listed.
- When in doubt, consult METI and Customs before importing or exporting.
